Opera’s crypto wallet now supports both Bitcoin (BTC) and Tron (TRX) for the Android version 53 beta. The users of this version can make transactions for BTC, TRX, and TRC-10 standard tokens. These webpages are also able to request and receive addresses for users to process BTC transactions. The latter functionality is an ‘experimental integration of Web 3’.
Initially, this term was pointing out the aim of developing a semantic internet. Now it refers more to the constant growth of an intelligent, open and distributed web. A web that uses blockchain, decentralized computing and cryptocurrencies.
Opera’s crypto wallet for android already supports Ether (ETH) and ERC standard tokens. Now, adding bitcoin to Web 3.0 will fuel the assets for speculation, storage of value and payments as well.
