Yoweri Museveni, the President of Uganda will take charge of the 2019 Africa Blockchain Conference. The theme is ‘Africa 4.0: Preparing Africa for the 4th Industrial Revolution’. It will line up from July 3rd to July 4th in Kampala.
This Conference is different from The Blockchain Africa Conference 2019 that held in April. This conference will cover various topics including fintech, payment systems. and the future of education. CryptoSavannah, the blockchain tech firm will also participate in organizing this 2019 conference.
The President appreciated the use of blockchain technology in Uganda in his inaugural speech. He mentioned four specific economic areas to apply the blockchain technology. These areas involve agriculture, the ICT sector, manufacturing, and processing services.
Uganda has previously supported the crypto exchange firm Binance for Children Special Impact Education Project Uganda. An MoU was signed between Binance Charity Foundation and a Ugandan NGO. This MoU intends to improve the quality of the education system in the country. Recently, India also organized a Blockchain-based fest named Dapp Fest 2019.
