IBM And Nornickel Team Up To Launch A Blockchain Educational Program

The major tech firm IBM and Nornickel joined hands to launch a blockchain educational program. The latter is a leading Russian metal producer on the global front. This information comes from a local news agency.

This blockchain educational program will deal with the student’s training, research, and development related to blockchain ecosystems and Internet of Things (IoT). MIPT will offer the students with masters and postgraduate programs in “Blockchain”. Apparently, the studies will begin at the fall of 2019.

IBM and Nornickel signed an agreement with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). This partnership intends to build a learning ground for specialists. It aims to help the mining and metals industry with its advanced digital technologies. Nornickel’s VP Sergey Batehin, IBM’s general manager in Russia and CIS countries Iris Dzeba, and the rector of MIPT Nikolay Kudryavtsev signed the pact.

Recently, Irish University and Skillnet announced a co-launch of blockchain-based masters programs.  The degree will help the enthusiasts to work on Blockchain alongside Blockchain Ireland.
