Soon, smartphone enthusiasts will experience a brand new second generation HTC blockchain phone. Taiwan based smartphone maker targets to introduce the new phone around the second half of 2019. The information comes from Phil Chen, Decentralized Chief Officer of HTC from his addressing at an investment forum held on 26th of April. Chen says that blockchain technology has a lot of potentials. Its applications can see tremendous commercial success in the future. Besides, it will implement better data accessibility and enforce better privacy of the user.
With the release of the Second Generation HTC Blockchain Phone, the company targets to strengthen its presence in the global blockchain market. Previous year in the last quarter HTC introduced the first-ever blockchain powered smartphone, the Exodus 1. As of now, there is no detailing on the upcoming 2nd generation phone. We guess it will pack the latest Android OS (probably Android P or Q). Also, stepping up from the previous flagship, 2019 model may sport the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Most importantly there is no info on its naming. They may call it Exodus 2, however, this is just simple guesswork. We have to wait and watch out for further official info from the OEM regarding the new blockchain smartphone.
