The Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) has revealed its intent to implement blockchain technology in conducting the Unified State Exam 2019. The entity has stated that the technology will be used along with new technologies of printing and scanning of the exam to enhance transparency and quality of education.
Sergey Kravtsov, Head of the Federal Services, announced the news during III International Conference, ‘Big Data: New Monitoring Opportunities in Education’, organized by Rosobrnadzor and the Moscow Government. She stated that the initiative was the result of a prior discussion on transition to computer informatics for bringing efficiency in conduction and management of the system.
Earlier in January, Russia’s Ministry of Education and Science (Minobrnauki) also developed a blockchain-based diamond tracking platform to help in tracking the complete supply chain of natural diamonds.
